The Rabun County Civic Center is a beautifully restored old High School Gym… The main Ballroom floor is an attractive large room with a 25-foot ceiling, accentuated with beams and floor to ceiling columns. This room provides a 1300 square foot dance floor, a 600 square foot stage and a 7000 square foot seating and dining area. Weddings and Receptions work very well in this facility. The Ballroom will accommodate for seating up to 450 (Banquet Style), but also can be used for smaller groups without loosing an intimate environment. Sound and Lighting is available upon request with the assistance of technical personnel. There is the capability of using an I-Pod and connecting into the sound system, without the cost of a technician on staff. Also, Wi-Fi is available at no cost, if your DJ needs the capability to go on-line for song selections. This facility has the charm that you are looking for to make your event exceptional.
The Diner on the lower level is a unique setting for a smaller event. This 1000 square foot room can accommodate up to 125 people. It can be an informal setting, utilizing the 50’s style diner or can be become a more formal setting by using linens. It is a perfect place for the After-Rehearsal Dinner. There is even a Wurlitzer Jukebox that provides a wide variety of music selections. A kitchen, which includes a commercial stove, refridgerator, three compartment sink, dishwasher and icemaker, is adjoined to this facility. This room also has Wi-Fi capability. This one-of-a-kind place has a special “flare” you will not find elsewhere.
