Beechwood Inn

Beechwood Inn – Georgia’s Premier
The Inn features Northeast Georgia’s only Wine Spectator Award of Excellence restaurant. The restaurant offers Saturday Chef’s Table Dinners by advance reservation featuring meals using the best of local, organic and sustainable products from Georgia farms, vineyards and orchards.
Wine Enthusiast Magazine places Beechwood Inn in the Top 5 Destinations “for your next wine and food-focused escape,” Dec 28, 2011. Beechwood Inn offers fine dining in the North Georgia Mountains almost every Saturday featuring Chef’s Tasting Dinners paired to fine wines. Each menu is pre-selected by our chefs based on what is seasonal and available that day. Most of our seasonal foods are organic and natural, many from sustainable North Georgia farms, orchards, dairies and vineyards. Due to the special nature of our foods advance reservations are needed. Cooking classes and farm tours can be arranged. The Inn features Northeast Georgia’s only Wine Spectator Award of Excellence wine list.

The Inn features two best Chefs America 2013/2014.
Gayle and husband David own and operate the Beechwood Inn, a bed and breakfast, in Clayton, Georgia. Both were raised among the vineyards of California; Gayle in the Napa Valley and David in Sonoma County. David’s family owned and operated a restaurant, where he, “learned mostly about food, cooking in the restaurant,” he said, but he also picked up quite a bit of knowledge on wines at the same time. For Gayle, her early education in wines was more osmotic, but still effective. “At first,” she said, “what I always liked about it was the tie to the soil. How involved they were with the earth, the production of the grapes.”
